Lamina 2025: Bayo Atelier x ManilArt Fashion & Art Experience
Lamina 2025, a major curated lifestyle fair, marks a landmark collaboration between Bayo Atelier and the ManilArt Foundation, bringing together art, fashion, and heritage in a sustainable luxury showcase. This event took place from May 2 to 4, 2025, at the Grand Ballroom of City of Dreams Manila, coinciding with the resort’s 10th anniversary.
The event redefined luxury through the lens of the circular economy, emphasizing responsible sourcing, inclusivity, and co-creation. Bayo Atelier, recognized for its leadership in sustainable and slow fashion in the Philippines, played a central role in interpreting artworks into wearable fashion pieces.
South East Asia Fashion Week | Closing Night
As host of the panel at South East Asia Fashion Week 2025, I facilitated a dynamic dialogue on Asia’s evolving role in global fashion—questioning whether the region is ready to become the next fashion hub, if Singapore could emerge as a fashion capital, and how we might move beyond the label of “manufacturing hub” to claim creative leadership.
The conversation brought together industry leaders who shared candid insights on the realities and future of Asian fashion. We explored critical themes: the ethics of cultural appropriation—highlighted by designer Vidushi Jain’s powerful question on Western use of Indian craftsmanship—and the urgent need for authentic, region-led narratives.
Asia Society Philippines | Future Forward: Al for Creatives
I’m honored to join Asia Society Philippines as a member and to have participated in their Future Forward: AI for Creatives panel—a vital conversation on how artificial intelligence is reshaping the creative landscape in the Philippines and across Asia.
Founded 50 years ago, Asia Society Philippines fosters deep understanding of the region’s cultural, economic, and social dynamics. As part of this network, I’m committed to amplifying the voices of local culture makers, innovators, and creative entrepreneurs who are redefining Philippine design and creativity.
I had the privilege of attending an enriching event hosted by ICE FAD, where I joined a conversation with three respected Filipino fashion designers—JC Buendia, Vania Romoff, and Boom Sason. The session offered a rare glimpse into their creative journeys, design philosophies, and the personal stories that shape their work.
As an open forum for aspiring creatives and industry professionals alike, the event emphasized the importance of authenticity, resilience, and innovation in fashion. Hearing directly from these influential figures deepened my understanding of the craft and reinforced the value of storytelling through design.
